About this grant

Supports nonprofit and nongovernmental organizations developing innovative, technology-enabled early-stage solutions to significant social problems. Funded programs must serve economically underserved communities and align with one of four priority sectors: crisis response, education, economic empowerment, or climate resilience.

Concrete performance metrics and measures of success

Eligibility

U.S. organizations must be recognized by the IRS as tax exempt under IRC Section 501(c)(3) and classified as a public charity
Non-U.S. organizations must demonstrate equivalency to a U.S. public charity
Programs must serve an audience greater than 65% economically underserved relative to the average standards of the target geography
Organizations and programs must focus on at least one of four social investment sectors: crisis response, education, economic empowerment, and/or climate resilience
Organization overhead must not exceed 25%
Organizations must have national or multinational operations
Maximum request amount for first-time grant recipients is US$100,000
Board chairperson or at least one officer must have reviewed and approved the grant proposal
