About this grant

Provides emergency funding to local nonprofits to address unexpected equipment failures, disaster-related losses, unanticipated funding shortfalls, or sudden community needs. Awards support the purchase of equipment and materials needed to respond to emergency or unexpected program expenses. Funds must be used within Washington County, MD for Washington County residents only.

Eligibility

Must be a registered 501(c)(3) organization with a federal determination letter
Must be in 'Good Standing' status with the State of MD Department of Assessments & Taxation
Must serve the community in health, youth opportunity, financial security, or community resiliency
Grant awards must be used in Washington County, MD for Washington County residents only
Grant awards must be used for equipment and/or materials to address an emergency or unexpected project or program expense
Must be able to expend funds within 30 to 60 days of award with supporting documentation
Must have a 'current' registration status with the MD Office of the Secretary of State Charities Registration
