Grant and Cohort Support for Early-Stage Social Entrepreneurs

• $100,000 unrestricted grant
• $10,000 grant for leadership development support
• 1:1 strategic advising from New Profit Portfolio team
• Peer learning community with cohort members
• In-person convenings and webinars
• Capacity-building framework and tools

• Discovery Form submission (open year-round)
• Application (by invitation only, for aligned organizations)
• Interviews with key organizational members (screening stage)

• Must focus on the United States and its territories
• Must hold 501(c)(3) status (organization or fiscal sponsor)
• Expense budget for most recently closed fiscal year must be between $250,000 and $2 million
• Must be led by at least one social entrepreneur on a full-time basis (30 hours/week)
• Must have been in programmatic operation for at least two years
• Must not be a previous New Profit grantee

Provides grants of approximately $100,000 to nonprofits focused on economic opportunity, criminal justice reform, and civil rights advancement.
