About this grant

Supports nonprofit organizations working to connect individuals and families with safe, affordable, and sustainable housing opportunities. Funded activities include affordable housing development, eviction prevention, homeownership education, foreclosure counseling, and clean energy retrofits for low- and moderate-income communities. Organizations must be based in and serve designated U.S. Bank communities.

What you get

Operating grant to cover day-to-day organizational expenses
Program/project grant to support specific housing-related activities
Capital grant for major physical or infrastructure projects (for eligible organizations)

Electronic Letter of Interest (LOI) submitted via Community Possible Grant Program page
Full application by invitation only after LOI review
ACH enrollment using unique ID for payment processing
509(a)(3) Type I and Type II organizations may require additional documentation
Capital grant applicants must provide a clear project plan, budget, and sustainability strategy

Eligibility

Must be a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization
Must be based in and serve designated U.S. Bank communities (see Appendix A)
Must maintain a non-discrimination policy
Section 509(a)(3) Type III supporting organizations are not eligible
Private foundations are not eligible
Capital grants require a U.S. Bank employee serving on the board of directors
Capital grants require prior funding history with the U.S. Bank Foundation
Religious organizations eligible only if programs are non-sectarian and benefit a broad base of the community
