Supports well-researched pamphlets, monographs, articles, books, and digital assets related to South Carolina's role in the American Revolution (1770–1783). Eligible projects include scholarly and consumer publications, transcription and annotation of Revolutionary Era papers, genealogy research, and digitization projects. All funded work must meet high standards of scholarship, peer review, and documentation.

Eligibility

Project must feature significant Revolutionary Era people, places, events, or ideas connected to South Carolina

Works must be fully referenced and delineate accepted facts from author's interpretation
References must follow Chicago Manual of Style conventions
All Commission-endorsed research and publications must be peer reviewed by subject matter experts prior to publication
Project Sponsor must agree to SC250 royalty-free access to the research/publication upon completion
Project Sponsor must supply proposed budget and timeline to completion
Research must cite the SC American Revolution Sestercentennial Commission
