About this grant

Supports nonprofit organizations, government entities, and Tribal governments focused on improving the welfare of dogs and cats. Funded programs may address animal cruelty, pet overpopulation, puppy mills, emergency animal interventions, adoption services, and spay/neuter initiatives. The fund also supports the expansion and sustenance of animal care centers in the region.

Fiscal sponsorships are permitted when the fiscal agent qualifies under the above IRS classifications
Programs must serve communities within the Boreal Waters Community Foundation's service area in northeastern Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin
Applicants must obtain an access code from the program officer to access the online application
