About this grant

Funds low-cost spay/neuter services for cats and dogs belonging to New York State residents who receive public assistance or have adopted from a qualified shelter or nonprofit. Eligible projects include voucher programs, spay/neuter events, mobile clinics, infrastructure improvements, staff hires, and training stipends. The program is administered by the ASPCA on behalf of the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets.

Eligibility

Must be a municipal or county animal shelter, animal control agency, or 501(c)(3) nonprofit in good standing
501(c)(3) organizations must be in good standing with the NY Office of the Attorney General's Charities Bureau and Secretary of State
Organization must operate as an animal rescue, adoption organization, spay/neuter clinic, or entity whose core mission includes managing companion animal population in New York State
Services must be provided to New York State residents who receive public assistance or have adopted from a qualified nonprofit or government organization
All veterinary services must be performed by a veterinarian licensed in New York State
Projects providing direct spay/neuter services must include a co-pay of at least one dollar per animal
Animals must be cats, kittens, dogs, or puppies and must not have been imported from outside New York State
