About this grant

Funds certified nonprofit prevention agencies to provide community-based substance misuse education, prevention, and early intervention services in Ohio communities with populations of 55,000 or more. Selected grantees implement evidence-based programming aligned with the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention strategies, including information dissemination, education, healthy alternatives, and community outreach across the lifespan. Applicants must demonstrate meaningful community partnerships and a comprehensive multi-layered approach to prevention.

Eligibility

Must be a 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) nonprofit or governmental entity
Must be a certified prevention provider with certified prevention staff
Must serve communities with a population of 55,000 and up in Ohio
Must have resources to complete all items under Scope of Work/Deliverables
Must implement at least two CSAP prevention strategies
Must develop and execute formal partnership agreements (MOUs or Letters of Commitment)
Must update community needs assessment based on data within the last five years
Indirect cost rate of 15% or less preferred
