About this grant

Supports churches and church-related nonprofit ministry organizations in pursuing strategic ministry initiatives aligned with the Ohio Episcopal Area's vision pillars. Funded projects may focus on leadership development, connectional ministries, multiplication of new faith communities, or investment in young and lay leadership. Churches are expected to contribute at least 20% of total project costs.

Up to $15,000 per church in a 12-month period
Anticipated turnaround time of one to two weeks
Possibility to apply for additional grant monies for the same project over the next two years

How to apply

Completed grant application form
Project description specifying area of focus
Statement of goals and success measures
Financial plan including total project cost, local church investment, amount requested, other sources, and any loan amounts
Congregational statistics for the last 3 years
Apportionment payment percentages for the last 3 years
Current detailed church budget
Itemized income and expenses for the proposed project

Eligibility

Must be a church or church-related nonprofit ministry organization
Local church must contribute at least 20% of total project cost
Only one project per church will be granted in a 12-month period
District Apportionments must be paid 100% each year, or show consistent 3-5% annual progress toward 100%
Must be within the Scioto River District or West Ohio Episcopal Area
