About this grant

Funds community members, groups, and organizations to implement evidence-based interventions (EBIs) related to cancer prevention, control, and survivorship. Projects must align with Holden Cancer Center priorities and the Iowa Cancer Plan, and must be carried out in collaboration with Holden researchers. Awards are for one year with the possibility of applying for additional funding in future cycles.

How to apply

Letter of Intent (due July 19, 2026)
Full application (by invitation only, due October 4, 2026)
Letter of support from each collaborator listed on the application
Description of collaborator's title, organization, and contribution to the project

Eligibility

Project must be an evidence-based intervention (EBI)
Project must align with one or more Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center priorities
Project must align with one or more guiding questions from the Holden Community Advisory Board
Project must address one or more priorities, goals, and/or action steps within the Iowa Cancer Plan
Project must be initiated by an individual, group, community, or organization outside of Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center
Project must be carried out in collaboration with Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center researchers
