About this grant

Provides funding to public agencies and not-for-profit organizations that deliver direct services to crime victims in Missouri. Grants support new programs or the expansion and enhancement of existing victim services, including crisis intervention, emergency services, counseling, and advocacy. Allowable costs also include staff and volunteer training related to victim services.

Eligibility

Must be a public agency or not-for-profit private organization
Crime must have been committed in Missouri, or the crime victim must be a Missouri resident
Crime must have involved the threat or use of force or violence
Victim cannot be the perpetrator or a principal or accessory in the crime
Injuries cannot result from operation of a motor vehicle, boat, or airplane unless used as a weapon or related to DWI/vehicular manslaughter/hit and run
Sub-recipients must provide services to victims free of charge
Public governmental agencies may not use funds to supplant existing funds for victim assistance
