About this grant

Funds new and innovative short-term projects designed to bring about meaningful local change for people with developmental disabilities and their families. Projects must focus on advocacy, systems change, local capacity building, social change, equal access, or education of families and self-advocates. Successful projects should be replicable and aligned with the Council's 5-Year Plan.

Eligibility

Project must be related to the Council's 5-Year Plan
Must focus on advocacy, local capacity building, systems change, social change, equal access, community competence, or education of families and self-advocates
Must create and strengthen relationships with local associations and groups
Must position people with developmental disabilities and/or their family members as active and engaged participants
Must have a plan for sharing successful practices
Must reflect the values, preferences, languages, and cultures of the communities engaged
Project must not serve a single and/or limited disability population
