About this grant

Supports energy efficiency and conservation projects including energy education, installation of energy efficient measures such as lighting retrofits and HVAC upgrades, transportation initiatives involving alternative fuel vehicles, and renewable energy technologies like solar and small-scale wind. Any organization may apply, with priority given to schools, political subdivisions, state agencies, and nonprofits. Funds are provided on a reimbursement basis after receipt of supporting documentation.

Eligibility

Must be registered at SAM.gov and have a Unique Entity ID (UEI)
Applications must be for future projects not already underway or under contract
Purchase of services or goods over $10,000 require three bids
Applications for installation of energy efficient measures must include a completed Energy Savings Analysis
Projects should have a combined payback period of 10 years or less
Awardees must be registered as a vendor with the state to receive reimbursement
Applications must be signed by the organization's chief executive
