About this grant

Provides small grants to community groups, organizations, and coalitions to improve their capacity and organizational structure or to implement projects that address environmental health issues through policy or legislation. Funded activities can include strategic planning, community outreach, public awareness campaigns, and legal assistance. Applicants serving historically disadvantaged communities are given preference.

Up to $2,500 in grant funding
Assistance with setting up legal entity status in Missouri if needed

Description of the community being served
Description of the environmental health issue being addressed
Description of what funds will accomplish
Budget with estimated costs (receipts required for expenses over $250)
Plan for tracking and reporting successes, failings, and learnings

Eligibility

Must be a community group, organization, or coalition established as a legal entity in the State of Missouri
Must be in good legal standing with the State of Missouri
Must have a bank account associated with the group, organization, or coalition
Must be located in the Ozark, St. Louis, or Southwest Region of Missouri
Only one grant will be awarded per applicant per year
Must sign a conflict of interest disclosure before funds are dispersed
Must affirm non-discrimination policy covering race, color, sex, religion, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, and veteran status
