About this grant

Funds health-related community, behavioral and social science, social service, and education projects that address societal needs including health outcomes, mental health, crisis intervention, family strengthening, and public safety. Projects may also include behavioral and social science research to understand individual behavior and social interaction. Awards are made to the recipient's organization on behalf of eligible faculty or staff applicants.

What you get

Grant award up to $35,000
80% of approved funding provided as initial payment
Remaining 20% provided upon submission and approval of final narrative and financial reports
One no-cost extension of up to one year may be requested

How to apply

Executive summary (1 page, double spaced, 12pt font, 1" margins)
Proposal (4 pages max, double spaced, 12pt font, 1" margins)
CV/Bio Sketch for Principal Investigator (5 pages max, NIH format acceptable)
Letter from appropriate dean or designated official verifying support of submission
Budget using the form provided in the application
Literature references (optional)

Eligibility

Applicant must be a full-time faculty member, staff, or other personnel of an eligible organization
Part-time faculty, adjunct faculty, and Post Docs are not eligible to apply as Principal Investigators
Eligible organizations: Cooper University Health Care, Hackensack Meridian Health, Kessler Foundation, New Jersey Institute of Technology, Princeton University, Rowan University, Rutgers University, University Hospital, and Virtua Health
Applicants must have followed all their organization's policies and procedures prior to submission
A previously submitted proposal may not be resubmitted without modification
