About this grant

Supports HIV prevention, treatment engagement, and supportive services for people living with HIV disease and highest at-risk populations. Grants are prioritized to serve at-risk populations in proportion to the distribution of recently reported HIV Disease cases in Illinois, stratified by risk, race, and ethnicity. Additional points are awarded to applicants proposing to serve multiple prioritized populations.

Grant award ranging from $50,000 to $150,000
Up to two one-year non-competitive renewals at the Department's discretion

How to apply

Grant application submitted through EGrAMS by the close date on the Notice of Funding
Work plan inclusive of all aspects of Scope of Work and project requirements with SMART objectives
RWPB Detail Budget Attachment with allocable, reasonable, and appropriate costs
Grant project budget in EGrAMS with cost details and associated narratives

Eligibility

Must be a public or private entity in Illinois
Must serve people with HIV disease and/or highest at-risk populations for acquiring HIV infection
Must demonstrate engagement and accomplishment in HIV prevention/education, HIV care, and/or supportive services
Applicant organizations may be local health departments or not-for-profit private community-based organizations, including volunteer or religious organizations
Must effectively engage prioritized risk populations including gay or bisexual males, high risk heterosexual women and men impacted by poverty, and current or former users of injection drugs
