About this grant

Supports organizations working to advance housing education and advocacy at the local and regional level in New Hampshire, with the goal of changing land use regulations and increasing awareness of housing's role in economic growth. Three tiers are available: Incubator Grants for new or established nonprofit programs, Impact Grants for existing workforce housing advocacy programs, and Mini Grants for a broad range of groups including business associations, nonprofits, regional planning commissions, and local governments.

What you get

Incubator Grant: up to $50,000 for established nonprofits creating new programs, or up to $20,000 for start-up organizations
Impact Grant: up to $40,000 annually for eligible organizations
Mini Grant: up to $5,000 for a variety of eligible groups
Incubator Grant recipients may be eligible for Impact Grants in future years

Subject line: 'Request for Application – [specific grant program]'
Detailed Work Plan (required for Incubator and Impact grants)

Eligibility

Must be a nonprofit economic/community development organization, local or regional business group, economic development group, ad hoc group, service organization, regional planning commission, or local government
Incubator Grant: must be an established nonprofit creating a new workforce housing education/advocacy program OR a start-up organization whose primary mission is workforce housing education and advocacy
Impact Grant: must have an existing workforce housing education and advocacy program in operation for at least one year
Impact Grant: dollar-for-dollar matching funds required
Mini Grant: organizations engaged in housing development are not eligible
Mini Grant funds may not be used for Master plans or general planning purposes
Applications are by invitation only; interested organizations must submit a request email to grants@nhhousing.org
