About this grant

Supports local nonprofit projects and organizations working in the areas of culture, ecology, food/farming, and shelter to foster social and ecological resilience in the Hudson Valley. Projects must take place within ten specific Hudson Valley counties and may include innovation, education, research, regional weaving, or emergency readiness work. Eligible applicants include nonprofits, municipalities, fiscally sponsored projects, schools, libraries, and faith-based institutions.

Eligibility

Project activities must take place in or across Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Greene, Orange, Putnam, Rensselaer, Rockland, Ulster, or Westchester counties
Applicant must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, municipal/county government, fiscally sponsored project, public or independent school/college/university, public or association library, or faith-based institution
Fiscal sponsorship agreement must be in effect at the time of application if using a fiscal sponsor
Grant funds may not be used for lobbying, political campaigns, or electioneering
Grant funds may not be used for the purchase price of land or development rights
Grant funds may not be used for grants to individuals, endowments, or debt retirement
Indirect costs may not exceed 15% of the total request
Projects must be completed within two years of the grant award
