About this grant

Supports nonprofit organizations providing civil legal aid, law-related education, or programs that improve the administration of justice in South Carolina. Funding is distributed annually to approximately fifty programs and organizations, with priority given to returning grantees while also considering new applicants. A special Horry County grant is also available for organizations serving that specific county.

Selection of funding category (civil legal aid, administration of justice, or law-related education)

Eligibility

Must be a 501(c)(3) or similar tax-exempt nonprofit
Must offer services in South Carolina in at least one of: legal services to indigent individuals, law-related education for the public, or programs that improve the administration of justice
New applicants must submit a Letter of Intent before submitting a grant application
LOI must be submitted by October 1 to be considered for the upcoming grant cycle
For Horry County funds, organization must serve Horry County, SC residents
