About this grant

Funds organizations providing legally related services to low-income individuals, victims of domestic violence, and children involved in juvenile court proceedings. Grants support program expenses, staff salaries, and operational costs for qualifying nonprofit legal aid organizations. Priority is given to programs that provide direct legal services and serve rural or underserved Nevadans.

Previous fiscal year Form 990 tax return (PDF); first-time applicants must submit three years of returns

Organization Board of Directors list with names, phone numbers, and email addresses (PDF)
Organization budget (current year revenue/expenses and next year projections)
Program summary (up to 300 words) describing services to be funded
Description of geographic service area(s) within Nevada
List of other funding sources sought or received for the program
Optional Excel budget spreadsheet for itemized expenses

Eligibility

Must be an organization (not an individual)
Must be a 501(c)(3) public charity
Must not be a 501(c)(3) private foundation
Must not be a 509(a)(3) supporting organization
Must provide legally related services to the poor, victims of domestic violence, or children in juvenile court
Projects must be within the State of Nevada
Funds may not be used for political contributions, fundraising benefits, or endowment additions
