Grant for Midwestern Nonprofits Hosting Out-of-State Artists

• Grant award of $2,000–$10,000
• Support to bring an out-of-state artist or ensemble to your community for performances, exhibitions, or workshops

• Phase 1 Application (Eligibility Review) due by noon CT on November 4, 2026
• Phase 2 Application (Full Proposal) due by noon CT on November 17, 2026
• Submission via SmartSimple application portal
• Project budget narrative (federal award budget requirements apply)

• Must be a 501(c)(3) organization with an annual budget under $2 million, or a tribal organization of any budget size
• Organization must be located and operate in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, or Wisconsin, or the Native Nations that share this geography
• Proposed project must reach an underserved audience
• Project must feature an artist who lives outside of the applicant's state
• Artist must not be a resident of Belarus, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia, Syria, or Venezuela
• Project activities must take place between March 2027 and February 2028
