Eligibility

Must be a nonprofit tourism or sports-related organization
Must apply through their respective local government
Must be recruiting new sporting events in South Carolina
Sporting events must generate significant additional economic impact through participant and visitor spending
Applications for sporting events that recur regularly within the state are not eligible
Hosting applications may not be submitted earlier than 270 days before or later than 90 days before the event's start date
Bidding grant applications must be submitted within 180 days of the signed letter of intent from the Rights Holder
Only successful bids qualify for bidding grants
