About this grant

Subawards to increase regional and community capacity to deliver substance use prevention services across Vermont's Region 3 health districts (Morrisville, Newport, and St. Johnsbury). Funded projects should address priorities such as reducing underage and adult high-risk substance use, supporting LGBTQ+ youth, building community connectedness, and responding to emerging substance-use issues. Projects serving Orleans and Essex counties and the towns of Hardwick and Craftsbury are especially encouraged.

Eligibility

Project activities must primarily impact individuals or communities within Region 3 (Morrisville, Newport, and St. Johnsbury Health Districts)
Eligible organization types: hospitals/healthcare systems, nonprofits, colleges and universities including community colleges
Individual persons, individual schools, supervisory unions/school districts, and FY27 grantees are NOT eligible to apply
Collaborative proposals are welcome but one entity must submit as the lead applicant
Applicants are limited to one application per entity (fiscal agents may be attributed to multiple applications)
Awardees must complete a Risk Assessment upon notice of award; entities not assessed as low risk must identify a fiscal sponsor
Awardees must submit a Certificate of Insurance (COI) with NVRH named as additionally insured
