Eligible projects explore history, literature, cultural anthropology, philosophy, ethics, and related disciplines. Eligibility

Must be a nonprofit organization, institution, or group (incorporated or not)
Unincorporated organizations must provide proof of existence (by-laws or letter)
Eligible applicants include civic groups, school boards, PTAs, teacher associations, service clubs, libraries, museums, historical societies, church groups, professional organizations, labor unions, public television and radio stations, university divisions, and state/local government agencies
No funding provided directly to individuals
Applications must be received no less than six weeks prior to commencement of the proposed project
Request must be above $3,500 and up to $10,000 for major grant category
