About this grant

Supports nonprofit organizations and non-United Methodist institutions pursuing innovative ministries and community programs in Arkansas. Funded projects must address one of the Foundation's established priorities, including food security, community health, clergy education, evangelism, diversity, and environmental awareness. The Foundation prefers programs with broad community impact, replicable models, and collaborative partnerships.

Grant award up to $50,000 per year per organization
Event sponsorship grants up to $2,500 (one per organization per year)
Multi-year grant consideration available depending on nature of application

How to apply

Online grant application via the MFA Grant Portal
Description of how the project addresses one of the Foundation's established priorities
Strategy for long-term funding sustainability
Evidence of organizational commitment (own funds or outside resources)
Application must be submitted by noon Central Time on the last day of the month

Eligibility

Must be a non-profit organization or non-United Methodist institution
Application must address one of the Foundation's established grant priorities
Arkansas-based projects take precedence
Applicants must share strategies for developing long-term support (Foundation does not intend to be a perpetual funder)
Requests for physical property improvements (expansion, construction, remodeling, maintenance, infrastructure) are not considered
Requests for employee salaries or benefits are generally not considered (start-up or specialized skills may be negotiable)
Applications reviewed on a bi-annual schedule (January 1–June 30 and July 1–November 30)
