About this grant

Funds projects that provide essential skills training and upskilling for farmworkers to advance within the agricultural industry or transition to other sectors. Funded programs offer wrap-around support including referrals to health, housing, educational resources, and career and financial coaching. Projects must demonstrate a track record of workforce outcomes and serve farmworkers at a regional level in California.

Reimbursement-based funding delivery via subcontract with EDD

Demonstration of track record of workforce outcomes
Budget with at least 20% leveraged from other sources
Description of target region and counties to be served
Pre-registration for informational webinar (optional)

Eligibility

Must be a nonprofit organization, local labor partner, tribal government, community college, local workforce board, education and training provider, or farmworker-serving organization
Individuals may not apply
Only one application per organization will be accepted
Must demonstrate ability to leverage at least 20 percent of budget with resources from other sources
Must demonstrate a track record of workforce outcomes
Must serve farmworkers in California (preference given to identified regions in San Joaquin Valley, Northern California, Coastal region, or Southern California)
