About this grant

Funds innovative projects designed to increase the number of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) engaged in competitive, integrated employment, including those with high and complex support needs such as behavior challenges, medical disabilities, and mental health issues. Projects may include demonstration models, employer training, job carving, business ownership, and capacity-building collaborations. This is a multi-year funding opportunity aligned with the NJCDD's Five Year State Plan Goal 3, Objective 6.

What you get

Up to $250,000 over two years ($125,000 in year one, excluding required 25% match)
Multi-year funding contingent on meeting performance objectives, benchmarks, and deliverables
NJCDD staff support for renewal application process

Copy of Negotiation Agreement if using an approved indirect cost rate

Eligibility

Must be a qualified entity (nonprofits, foundations, for-profit schools, and other organizations are eligible)
Must submit a complete project proposal within 84 days of announcement
Must complete NJCDD's FY2022 Grant Proposal Form and Budget
Required 25% match (state and federal funds cannot be used toward match)
Grant funds cannot be used to fund an existing program or service
Grant funds cannot be used to supplant or supplement existing funding for an existing program
Must complete state and federal assurances upon selection
