Grant for Nonprofits and Public Institutions for Humanities Programming

• Grant award of up to $1,000
• Full award paid upon receipt of a payment request
• Notification within four weeks of the application deadline
• Access to grants staff for application support and guidance

• Online application submitted through Indiana Humanities' grants portal
• Project description detailing public programming and humanities focus
• Project timeline covering planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Line-item budget using provided template with grant funds, cash match, and in-kind match columns
• Project director resume
• Resumes or CVs for humanities scholars/experts involved
• Federal Employer Identification Number (EIN)
• Unique Entity ID (UEI) from SAM.gov (if available at time of application)
• Electronic signature certifying application is complete and accurate

• Must apply on behalf of a tax-exempt organization registered with the IRS; K-12 schools, colleges and universities, public libraries, churches, and government entities are also eligible
• Individuals, nonregistered entities, and for-profit entities are not eligible
• Fiscal sponsorship is not permitted
• Organization must provide a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) through SAM.gov upon receiving a grant
• Organization may receive only one mini-grant per calendar year
• Project must be located in or serve Indiana communities
• Project must include humanities scholars in planning and implementation
• Project must be open to the public
