About this grant

Provides funding to animal sheltering agencies and rescue groups to cover medical procedures for animals that have been victims of abuse or neglect. The grant supports treatments necessary for animals to medically recover and become eligible for adoption. Cases are selected on an individual basis and may be used for fundraising purposes by the funder.

How to apply

Copy of 501(c)(3) determination letter (for nonprofits)
Completed and signed application
All itemized veterinary receipts issued by veterinarian's office
Before and/or after digital photographs of animals
Detailed explanation of the animal's medical condition and care needed including costs
Brief history of how the animal came into care
Information about the cruelty/neglect case investigation if applicable

Eligibility

Must be an animal sheltering agency (public or private) or rescue group
Must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization or a local municipal agency
Funding may only cover medical procedures for animals that are victims of abuse or neglect
Animals must require medical treatment before being placed for adoption
Animals must be expected to live a relatively pain-free life after treatment
Animals must be successfully placeable in new homes
Funding is limited to $2,000 per agency per fiscal year
Application must be received no later than 6 months following the date of intake of the animal(s)
