• Short-term grant funding (generally one year)
• Funding for innovative programs or projects addressing community needs

• Organization name, contact name, address, and contact information
• Amount requested
• Brief description of program to be funded
• Program start and end dates
• Board demographics (race, gender, ethnicity, age range)
• Target population definition and recruitment plan
• Program evaluation plan
• Total budget and breakdown of how Gilliam Foundation funds will be utilized
• List of other funding sources received and pending

• Must have tax-exempt status under IRS Section 501(c)(3)
• Organizations that received a Gilliam Foundation grant within the past two years are not eligible to reapply
• Programs or projects must primarily benefit Delawareans
• Applications primarily accepted for Literacy Grants; other focus areas considered only with demonstrated significant community need
