About this grant

Funds community coalitions working to improve early language and literacy skills for children in Georgia from birth through age five. Projects must use cross-sector collaboration to advance developmentally appropriate practices aligned with pillars of language nutrition, access, positive learning climate, and teacher preparation. Grants are awarded in three tiers based on project maturity and scope.

Scaling and Amplifying tier: $24,000 grant

Collaboration and support from the Deal Center for project implementation

How to apply

Proposal aligned with Deal Center priorities and RFA guidelines
Designation of funding tier with rationale
Demonstration of cross-sector collaboration with at least one partner organization
Submission through Qualtrics application link found in the RFA
Mid-term and final reports (post-award requirement)

Eligibility

Must be a nonprofit organization or collaborate with a fiscal sponsor
Must be focused on enhancing educational and developmental outcomes for children in Georgia
Proposal must demonstrate collaboration across sectors with at least one partner organization
Up to three partner organizations may be included in the application
Only one Community Coalition Grant application will be accepted per organization per year
Project must target at least one condition related to language nutrition, access, positive learning climate, or teacher preparation
Project must utilize a research-based toolkit to foster collective action through a common language
