About this grant

Funds outdoor recreation and conservation projects including improvement of state park trails, acquisition and improvement of parks by counties and municipalities, restoration of wetlands and native habitats, and enhancement of public access to waters and lands. Eligible recipients include state agencies, counties, municipalities, and nongovernmental entities in Mississippi. Projects must support outdoor recreation, conservation education, or natural resource stewardship.

Eligibility

Must be a county, municipality, state agency, or nongovernmental entity as defined by the Mississippi Outdoor Stewardship Act
Projects must fall within one of the six eligible use categories defined by the Act
Land acquisition project proposals will not be considered until further notice (effective June 12, 2024)
