About this grant

Provides flexible, unrestricted general operating support grants, capacity building grants, and leadership development grants to small rural nonprofit organizations and grassroots leaders. The fund focuses on organizations working to improve the health and well-being of individuals and families navigating economic hardship, as well as historically marginalized communities. Recipients must operate in Bastrop, Caldwell, Hays, or Williamson County, Texas.

Nonprofit Organizational Capacity Self-Assessment (to determine if fiscal sponsor is needed)
Fiscal sponsorship MOU if applicable

Eligibility

Must be working to improve health and well-being of individuals and families navigating economic hardship or marginalized communities in Bastrop, Caldwell, Hays, or Williamson County
Must have a physical address in at least one of the four rural counties: Bastrop, Caldwell, Hays, or Williamson County
Must be tax-exempt under IRS Section 501(c)(3) and in good standing, or apply through a 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor
Must have an annual operating budget of $250,000 or less
Collaborations, coalitions, or partnerships of two or more nonprofits are eligible if at least one is a 501(c)(3)
Does not fund endowments, political activities, or efforts to influence legislation
Programs requiring adherence to specific religious beliefs are ineligible; faith-based organizations serving the broader community may apply
