About this grant

Supports innovative and collaborative initiatives that strengthen awareness, opportunities, and retention in Nevada's STEM education and workforce pathways. Funded projects may include program planning, development, piloting, scaling, evaluation, research, or system and tool development. Projects should result in tangible, lasting deliverables that benefit regional STEM ecosystems.

What you get

Competitive share of $300,000 distributed across Nevada's three regional STEM networks
Reimbursement for eligible project expenses upon submission of reimbursement request and documentation
Award agreement outlining conditions, terms, and reporting requirements
Up to 10% of requested funding for indirect costs

How to apply

Cover Sheet (1 page max): organization info, project info, project director info, fiscal agent contact
Project Narrative (12 pages max, double-spaced, Times New Roman 12pt): overview, need, alignment, audience, roles, timeline, capacity, innovation, evaluation plan, impact
Budget Plan: budget narrative and detailed budget spreadsheet
Letters of Commitment from each key player and applying organization's leadership
Resumes or CVs for key players (do not count toward page limits)
Indirect cost rate proposal if requesting indirect costs

Eligibility

Must be a local government organization (county, city, township, or tribal government), educational organization (public school district, NSHE institution, private school, charter school), nonprofit organization, regional development authority, or workforce board/job center
Must be able to meet the objectives of the grant as outlined in Section I
National programs must have full-time staff located in and dedicated to Nevada
Must have a State Vendor ID number
Applications are accepted by region; multi-regional applicants may submit one application per region
