Supports STEM education initiatives in West Virginia including camps, workshops, conference travel, research activities, and sponsorship of scientific or technical events. Funding is intended to supplement other sources and improve undergraduate science and engineering education or faculty professional development. Projects must engage West Virginia students or citizens in STEM programming.

Eligibility

Must be a West Virginia four-year college, university, community or technical college, private or public K-12 school, 501(c)(3) nonprofit, or state/county/city governmental agency
Principal Investigator must be full-time college/university faculty, school principal, director of a nonprofit, or head of a governmental agency
No institution may submit more than one proposal per year
Investigators who received awards in the prior two years are not eligible to apply
Overhead/indirect costs are not allowed
Faculty salaries are excluded from budget
General office equipment, software, and general office supplies are not allowed
