About this grant

A rapid-response funding mechanism designed to address urgent, time-sensitive substance use disorder (SUD) needs at the local or state level in Kansas. Funded by Kansas opioid litigation settlements, it supports organizations preventing, reducing, treating, or mitigating the effects of substance abuse and addiction. Projects must demonstrate an immediate urgent need or a time-sensitive matching/braided funding opportunity that would be lost without a responsive grant award.

How to apply

Complete online application via Fluxx grants management system
Budget Workbook including budget summary, narrative, and capital form
W-9 Form with EIN
Three (3) filed federal tax returns (no older than 5 years)
Current financial statements (no older than 6 months) including Balance Sheet and Income Statement
Most recent completed financial audit, if available (no older than 2 years)
Proof of being established and providing SUD-related services in Kansas for at least 3 years
Letter of Commitment documenting matching or braided funding opportunity (if applicable)

Eligibility

Must be a legally formed entity registered and in active good standing with the Kansas Secretary of State and tax compliant
Must provide services in Kansas for the purposes of preventing, reducing, treating, or otherwise abating or remediating substance abuse or addiction
Must have released or will release legal claims arising from covered conduct against each defendant required by the opioid litigation
Nonprofit and for-profit entities must submit proof of being established and providing SUD-related services in Kansas for at least 3 years
Project must represent an immediate, urgent need or a time-sensitive matching/braided SUD funding opportunity
Funding request must be one-time and non-renewable; projects must have funding secured beyond this request
Organization must have received partial funding and/or sought outside funding sources
Application must be submitted 3 weeks prior to the upcoming quarterly review meeting
