About this grant

Supports nonprofit organizations working to advance health and well-being for young people ages 9 to 25 in Colorado who experience health inequities due to economic injustice, racism, and discrimination. Funding is organized across three focus areas: Supporting Young People, Strengthening Families, and Building Youth-Centered Communities. Grants may support general operating costs or specific programs and projects, including capital projects for the community-focused focus area.

Selection of at least one eligible funding strategy within chosen focus area
Learning and Assessment Plan (required if invited to submit Part 2 Application)
Part 2 Application (if invited, due February 4, 2027)

Eligibility

Must meet Caring for Colorado's general eligibility requirements
Must have clear practices to ensure programs and services are affordable and accessible
Proposed work must serve a minimum of 75% of young people living on low incomes (at or below 260% FPL, 80% AMI, or TANF eligible) OR explicitly center one of Caring for Colorado's priority populations
For Building Youth-Centered Communities focus area: proposed work must serve one or more of the listed rural/frontier counties OR be a School-Based Health Center
If centering a priority population for eligibility, at least 90% of young people or families served must identify with that single population
Mentoring programs must use an evidence-based model
Organizations must not be exclusively focused on basic needs or short-term assistance (Strengthening Families focus area)
