Multi-Year Grant for Shelter & Safety Nonprofits

• Up to $60,000 total ($30,000 per year for two years) in unrestricted operating funding
• Multi-year grant covering 2026-2027 cycle
• 24-month implementation period after award in November 2026
• Mid-cycle check-in support prior to second-year disbursement

• Online application submitted through the Nonprofit Grants Portal
• Valid EIN (tax ID) number
• Documentation of fiscal management (financial audits/reviews)
• Evidence of financial sustainability (diversified funding, reserves)
• Description of direct shelter and/or safety services addressing at least one priority need
• Measurement and evaluation plan with specific data collection methods
• Description of community partnerships and collaborations

• Must serve Santa Barbara County
• Must provide direct shelter and/or safety services or act as a coordinating body within the Shelter & Safety program area
• Must demonstrate sound fiscal management (financial audits/reviews, board oversight)
• Must demonstrate financial sustainability (diversified funding, reserves)
• Must primarily serve low-income and underserved communities in Santa Barbara County
• Must be a 501(c)(3) organization or use a fiscal sponsor with 501(c)(3) tax status
• Must have a valid EIN (tax ID) number
• Organizations may only apply in one program area per cycle
