About this grant
A multi-phase prize competition that encourages and rewards non-profit community-based organizations, advocacy organizations, and state or federally recognized Tribes to develop research capabilities and infrastructure to pursue maternal health research, with a special emphasis on maternity care deserts. Participants progress through Recruitment, Training, Proposal, and Research phases, receiving cash prizes and mentorship at each stage. The challenge aims to empower community organizations to lead or partner in maternal morbidity and mortality research that reflects community needs.
