Rebate for Multifamily Housing EV Charging Infrastructure

• Rebate of up to $10,000 per charging plug for low-income housing or significantly burdened census tract properties (60% of eligible costs)
• Rebate of up to $6,000 per charging plug for all other developments (60% of eligible costs)
• Up to 10 plugs per site eligible for rebate
• Rebate reservation letter confirming estimated rebate amount for 90 days

• Completed Rebate Reservation Request Worksheet (submitted prior to project start)
• Completed Application Checklist with all required attachments
• Itemized budget for the project
• Copy of invoice(s) for rebate-eligible equipment/services
• Proof of payment for equipment/services rendered
• Photo documentation of completed installation
• Housing Association rules, regulations, or by-laws allowing EV charging station use by all residents (if applicable)
• Documentation of low-income/affordable housing status or CDC Environmental Justice Index score verification (if applicable)

• Property must be a multifamily housing development in Tennessee with a minimum of 4 units per site
• Eligible applicants include property owners, authorized property managers, homeowner associations (HOAs), and authorized lessees
• Charging infrastructure must be accessible by residents 24/7, 365 days per year
• Each site must include at least two plugs
• Applicant must register as a supplier with the State of Tennessee and obtain a Supplier ID
• Maximum of 10 plugs per site eligible for rebate

TDEC administers the Fast Charge TN Network Grant Program, providing substantial funding to nonprofits for electric vehicle charging infrastructure development across Tennessee.
