About this grant

Funds empirical research exploring the contraceptive experiences and preferences of people with higher body weight in the US, with attention to how social location and weight-related stigma shape access to and quality of contraceptive care. Projects must demonstrate a clear path to influencing clinical practice and health services delivery. Grants are made to tax-exempt organizations on behalf of a named principal investigator.

References as appendix (not counted in 8-10 page narrative)
All materials submitted as a single PDF through the online application portal

Eligibility

Grants are made to tax-exempt organizations on behalf of a named principal investigator (PI)
Applicants do not need to be members of the Society of Family Planning
Funding is limited to projects focused on people with higher body weight in the US
Projects must be completable within 18 months
Budget maximum is $225,000
Indirect costs may not exceed 20% of total direct costs
Proof of IRB approval or exemption required before funds are available for use
