About this grant

Provides technical assistance grants to Iowa nonprofit organizations that offer training and employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Funds may be used to purchase technical services such as business feasibility studies, business planning, market research, and implementation planning to further integrated employment initiatives at the local level. Consortia of eligible nonprofits may also apply with a designated lead organization.

What you get

Award of up to $10,000 per project
Funding for technical assistance services including business feasibility studies, business planning, market research, and implementation planning

How to apply

Brief statement of existing needs, issues, and capabilities of the applicant
Statement of estimated economic impact and impact on individuals with disabilities
Work plan and objectives
Timetable and budget
Letters of endorsement from DVRS area supervisor and local IDB representative
Letter from consultant or service provider (name, biography, references, fee schedule, description of services)
Executive summary of any previously completed planning or fiscal analysis documents
Proof of nonprofit status

Eligibility

Must be an Iowa nonprofit organization
Must provide training and employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities
Consortia may apply with a designated lead Iowa nonprofit organization
Lead entity in a consortium is responsible for all contractual obligations
