About this grant

Supports regional and statewide development, education, research, and marketing services that promote agriculture, horticulture, and rural communities in Minnesota. Certified financial audits if required by statute (for nonprofits seeking $50,000 or more with revenue over $750,000)

Eligibility

Must be a nonprofit organization, unit of government, or public or nonprofit college or university
Must support regional and statewide development of Minnesota agriculture, horticulture, or rural communities
Must be authorized to do business in Minnesota
Must meet the requirements of the Pre-award Risk Assessment
Individuals and for-profit entities are not eligible
Only one application per nonprofit organization or unit of government (colleges/universities may submit multiple if projects are distinct and led by different individuals)
A 1:1 cash match is required (grant funds up to 50% of total project cost)
MDA employees, their spouses/domestic partners, or nonprofits principally operated by them are not eligible
