About this grant

Supports Colorado-based animal welfare organizations through three funding categories: General Operating support, Colorado Animal Population programs, and Organizational Capacity building. All eligible applicants may apply for Animal Population and Organizational Capacity categories, while General Operating requests are reserved for organizations with an established funding relationship with the foundation.

How to apply

Eligibility

Must be a designated 501(c)(3) non-profit, fiscal sponsor, or government entity
Must be located in Colorado and primarily serving animals already in Colorado
Proposal must align with the mission of AAF
Must demonstrate a commitment to collaboration, community responsibility, and non-divisive language
Must hold a current PACFA license and statistics if required under the Pet Animal Care Facilities Act
Must be reporting data to Shelter Animals Count or the Equine Welfare Data Collective, if applicable
General Operating requests only considered for organizations with an established funding relationship with AAF
