Provides annual operating grants to nonprofit legal aid organizations that deliver civil legal services to low-income Connecticut residents. 501(c)(3) determination letter

Eligibility

Must be a nonstock nonprofit corporation qualified as tax exempt under Sections 501(a) and 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code
Must have as its principal purpose the delivery of legal services to the poor in Connecticut
Must have certified financial statements for the three preceding years and an appointed independent certified auditing firm
Must be registered with the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection
New organizations must complete a preliminary eligibility questionnaire due June 30th prior to the start of every new grant cycle
