About this grant

Supports community-led organisations in London working with people most affected by climate-related harm and environmental challenges, including extreme heat, flooding, air pollution, poor housing, and food insecurity. Funding is flexible and core, covering staff costs, programme activity, organising, advocacy, and storytelling work that links immediate needs to longer-term systems change. Work must align with at least one of three approaches: place-based resilience, community organising and influence, or storytelling and narrative change.

Core five-year grant of £125,000 (income £50k–£120k), £200,000 (income £120k–£250k), £300,000 (income £250k–£750k), or £450,000 (income £750k–£1.5m)
Flexible funding covering core costs, programme activity, organisational development, collaboration, and storytelling
Part of a cohort of funded organisations with potential for peer learning and movement-building support

Eligibility

Must be a registered UK charity, CIO, charitable company, charitable IPS, BenCom, CIC (limited by guarantee with at least three directors), or Constituted Voluntary Organisation (CVO) with a fiscal host
Work must benefit people living in Greater London (32 boroughs and City of London)
Annual income between £50,000 and £1,500,000 based on most recent signed accounts
Must be community-led: led by, accountable to, or deeply embedded within the communities it serves
Must work primarily with low-income and marginalised communities most affected by climate and environmental harm
Must demonstrate a track record of delivering climate and environmental justice work
Must have at least one year of audited or independently examined accounts
Must have at least three directors or trustees on the board and an up-to-date safeguarding policy
Must pay at least the London Living Wage (£14.80/hour from April 2026) to all London-based staff
