About this grant

Funds culturally specific suicide prevention programming and services for youth (ages 24 and younger) and their families in Oregon's Communities of Focus. Programs must be developed by and for the culturally specific communities they aim to serve, aligned with Oregon's Suicide Prevention Framework. Grantees also receive expert evaluation support and ongoing technical assistance.

Up to 20 grants awarded from a total pool of approximately $900,000
Expert evaluation support from the Oregon Healing Collective and Asili, LLC
Ongoing technical assistance, support, and coordination from Lines for Life's Community Engagement Coordinator
Free training in 'Be Sensitive, Be Brave for Suicide Prevention' and 'Be Sensitive, Be Brave for Mental Health'
Access to monthly learning communities with other grantees

Eligibility

Host organization must be located in Oregon
Must demonstrate strong ties to diverse communities in Oregon
Must have a strong focus on services for diverse communities
Must have ability to attend in-person events throughout Oregon
Must have strong background in culturally specific work
Must demonstrate strong understanding of how culture impacts suicide prevention, intervention and postvention
All Grant Activities must be completed by June 30, 2027
