Grant for Individuals and Organizations Developing Cultural Studies Materials

Supports individuals and organizations developing high-quality academic, cultural, and ethnic studies materials for Minnesota K-12 students from underrepresented communities whose cultures lack a formal writing system and are primarily orally based, including Hmong, Karen, Somali, and Oromo communities. Projects must work with Minnesota school districts that intend to use the materials and must amplify arts, culture, and heritage in Minnesota. Funding comes from the State of Minnesota's Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund (Legacy).
