About this grant

Provides funding for local community-led projects that help communities withstand and recover from natural disasters in Australia. Eligible projects span training and planning, community recovery, environment and wildlife restoration, and equipment and infrastructure improvements. An additional Impact Grant tier is available for projects with significant community potential.

Grants of up to $25,000 for community disaster resilience projects
Eligible recipients may be shortlisted for an additional $25,000 Impact Grant
Funding awarded in December 2026 for Round 2

Documentation demonstrating charitable purpose (if not a registered charity)
Certification of charitable use of funds (for government entities)
Australian Business Number (ABN)

Eligibility

Must be a charity registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission (ACNC), a social enterprise, or an organisation with an ABN and charitable purpose
Social enterprises (not-for-profit and for-profit) or start-ups with social or environmental impact at the core of their business are eligible
Local government or government-funded facilities seeking funding for a program that furthers charitable purpose are eligible
Organisation does not need Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status
Non-registered charities must provide documentation demonstrating charitable purpose
Previous recipients must wait one full year (two grant rounds) before reapplying
You do not need to be a NAB customer
