About this grant

This cooperative agreement funds the establishment of a national center to provide specialized training, technical assistance, and resources to criminal justice agencies, courts, corrections systems, and service providers working with veterans across the justice system. The center will serve as a centralized hub addressing gaps in veteran identification, cross-system coordination, and implementation of evidence-based interventions. Recipients will develop online platforms, toolkits, training curricula, and coordination frameworks to improve outcomes for veterans involved in the criminal justice system.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants include public and state-controlled institutions of higher education
Private institutions of higher education are eligible
Nonprofits with 501(c)(3) status (other than institutions of higher education) are eligible
Nonprofits without 501(c)(3) status (other than institutions of higher education) are eligible
For-profit organizations (including small businesses) are eligible
Only one application may be submitted per entity
Requested award amount must not exceed $4,000,000
Application must be responsive to the scope of the NOFO
